Nintendo announces new DSi LL.

30kavyq Available November 21st this year (for 20,000 yen, the same price as the Wii in Japan) Nintendo just announced another revision of the hardware, with this one bragging a much larger screen. It will also feature a slightly more efficient battery and a selection of colours.

Clearly aimed at the silvering generation the only benefit is the larger screen, which will surely give games a ‘blurry’ appearance. But, like I said, it is not geared towards the audience you or I (presumably) would fit into.

Update: Kotaku (via Nintendo) is claiming the hardware isn’t necessarily geared towards older folks, saying; ‘The redesign comes at the request of customers who said they wanted a larger screen, and the screen is a 93 percent increase over the DS Lite’s screen size. The DSi LL is geared for those who want to use their Nintendo handheld for internet and as a music player as the larger screen is able to displayer letters and characters in a bigger font.’ Just who these customers are, we’ll never know.
