Games For Windows Live to offer Games on Demand from Dec. 15th.

gfwlive have announced Games on Demand, an Xbox 360 service which allows users to purchase and download full games, will be makings its way to Game for Windows Live. This marks ’s first entry into the digital distribution space on the platform a full 2 years after the services release.

“With Games on Demand, we didn’t just want to create a cut-and-paste version of existing digital distribution services,” said Mike Ybarra, general manager of LIVE Engagement Services. “We challenged ourselves to deliver an integrated platform that takes full advantage of the unique capabilities offered by the LIVE service. Our goal has always been to create a seamless online gaming experience for the Windows community, and Games on Demand is a great step toward that end.”

The service, set for launch on December 15th, will include some recent releases (Red Faction: Guerilla and Resident Evil 5) as well as some indie titles, such as Osmos and World of Goo, complete with Windows Live achievements.
