DICE offers yet more Bad Company 2 PC Beta details.

In a much promised blog post, Bad Company 2 producer Gordan Van Dyke has detailed everything anyone could need to know about the imminent beta test.

To start with, the will kick off at approximately 5pm GMT, 6pm CET, 12pm EST, and 9am PST on January 28th. The 1.5GB client will be made available via Steam, the Download Manager, Torrents and several partner websites which have yet to be specified (presumably all the usual sites, Gamershell.com/Bigdownload.com etc.).

Gordon also asks users for patience with any issues they may encounter. The release is a beta and, as such, technical issues are expected. Conversely, DICE also claims the final game will offer an updated server browser with more functions, performance tweaks and, of course, findings from the beta – with regard to balance issues etc.

A handy rundown of what you’ll need to do is included, after the break.

STEP 1: Make sure you have at least 5GB free on your HDD and then download and Install BFBC2!
STEP 2: Once installation is completed (install size will be around 1.5GB) start the client and click the login button. You will then be prompted to sign in with your EA Account. If you don’t have an EA Account you’ll be able to create one in the same screen. (You may also create your EA Account in advance HERE)
STEP 3: Enter the unique PC Beta Code during the log in process to authenticate your participation in the Beta.
Step 4: Create your Soldier name (this will lock that name to your EA account for retail if you want to keep it).
