Sony have decided to get all experimental with how they deliver the ModNation Racers beta to players, and no, you won’t have to buy another copy of LittleBigPlanet.
Coming with the Jan. 21st PSN update, the first 100,000 players to download the beta from the store will get access to the fully fledged beta when it unlocks on the 22nd. Well what happens if I’m 100,001? Tough luck, apparently – the beta client will promptly disappear, never to be seen again.
The beta itself will feature four premade tracks to race on, 2 of those unique to Europe. Along with access to the games much touted Creation station, allowing you to create and customize your own tracks and characters.
