Epicenter (developers of such fine products as Real Heroes: Firefighters) have revealed their next project, Rock of the Dead for the Wii. Essentially, the game takes the premise of Sega’s infamous Typing of the Dead and replaces a QWERTY keyboard with a guitar peripheral.
What follows is exactly what you’d expect. A number of undead and other miscellaneous creatures jump out at players as they follow their set paths. You’ll then strum the notes as they cross indicator, “shooting” the enemies.
Somewhat surprisingly, the game features voice talent from Neil Patrick Harris and Felicia Day along with a script from the man behind The Witcher.
The final product will target a “budget” pricepoint of $30-$40 when it releases in the late Spring or early Summer, exclusively for the Wii.
