Insomniac announcing new game before PAX, demoing it there.

Every year since 2001, there’s been a brand new Insomniac developed game on store shelves. This year, though, neither Ratchet & Clank or Resistance will be making an appearance, but that doesn’t mean the studio’s next game is that far away.

In their latest newsletter, revealed that they plan to announce their next title “sometime between now and the Penny-Arcade Expo over Labor Day weekend.” They’ll also be demoing the game, a Playstation 3 exclusive, at the show.

“We’re bringing our new game to a very special Penny-Arcade Expo panel on Saturday evening (September 4th), at 6:30pm in the Serpent Theatre,” the developer writes. “G4TV’s Adam Sessler will moderate a panel with key creative talent from Insomniac Games as we discuss (and demo!) our upcoming project.”

Resistance 3 is obviously the safest bet, and it’s been a while since that billboard was spotted during the filming of Battle: Los Angeles.
