Just when you thought you’d gotten away from announcements of announcements, Nintendo go a drop a bomb. The company has revealed that pricing and release date information for their upcoming handheld, the 3DS, will be announced on September 29th.
The device made it’s debut at this years E3, and Nintendo have said it’ll be out in 2011, but there’s been nothing on pricing just yet. The majority of analysts, however, believe the 3DS will retail for $249-299.
Nintendo spokesman Yasushi Hiroshi Minagawa told Bloomberg the announcement would be make in Japan, possibly indicating the pricing/date will be specific for that region. We’ll just have to wait until late September to find out.
