The Final Fantasy XIV open beta, which was scheduled to begin today, has been postponed after Square Enix uncovered “critical bugs” at the last minute. There’s no new date for the beta, only a promise of a “new schedule” at a “later date.”
FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, which is scheduled to begin at 19:00 (PDT) on Aug. 31, 2010, will be postponed due to a confirmation of critical bugs. New schedule will be released at a later date.
The news doesn’t bode well for the game’s full release, which expected on September 22nd for Collector’s Edition purchasers. There’s no word on whether the full game will also be delayed as a result.
