Playstation 3 3D Blu-ray update set for October.

Sure, you can already play those spiffy 3D games on your Playstation 3, but what about those new fangled blu-ray movies?

Well, Sony has today announced that the necessary firmware update will hit sometime in October – a slight delay since the company last offered a date.

Sadly, there aren’t that many 3D movies out there right now, but will be bundling Michael Jackson’s This Is It – 3D Enhanced Edition and Alice in Wonderland 3D with the console at some point in the future, and you can bet most of the companies upcoming movies, such as Spiderman and The Green Hornet, will be added to the slate.
