Rejoice! After the last few months of back and forth on whether or not STALKER 2 would actually see the light of day, the studio in charge, GSC Game World, has finally confirmed that, yes, work will soldier on.
Announced via their Facebook page earlier today, GSC said:
“The Stalker team is extremely happy! Why? Because we are continuing work on Stalker 2 after the holidays.”
You might be thinking the holidays are already over, but the Ukrainian developer runs on Orthodox Christian time, who’ve only just finished celebrating on January 7th. Either way, these certainly are delirious heights of hope after the intial announcement seemed so final.
I’m sure we’ve not heard the end of this, though. Especially with rumours that the studio sold their office space to the Ukrainian esports team, Na’Vi.
