Ubisoft’s oft-delayed shooter Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has been hit with, you guessed it, another delay. Last we heard, Future Soldier was scheduled for release sometime in March, but that’s now changed to May 22nd for the US, and May 24th in Europe.
“We’re pretty much there. We just want to take that extra couple of months to make sure your experience is perfect.”
There’s going to be a beta, too. In fact, the same beta that purchasers of the Xbox 360 version of Splinter Cell: Conviction were promised access to nearly 2 years ago. Despite that games console exclusivity, the beta will also be available on Playstation 3, when it hits sometime in April (unless that gets delayed, of course).
Development director Adrien Lacey made the announcement in a video posted on the studios YouTube channel, and also took the opportunity to reveal that a PC version of the game is in development, with release information for that platform “at a later date.” No word on whether it’ll use Ubisoft’s much maligned DRM software, though.
