That’s right, Diablo 3 won’t be making it’s previously announced release date of “early 2012.”
Instead, Activision has announced that the long awaited title will now launch in it’s second quarter of the year, a period which ends on June 30th.
“We’ve implemented changes to the game that we believe will greately increase the game expeirence,” said Blizzard president and co-founder Michael Morhaime.
Morhaime also mentioned there’d be “more details” on the games release date “in the coming weeks.”
Elsewhere in the Blizzard realm, there’s a press event next month for the latest World of Warcraft expansion, Mists of Pandaria, and fans can expect a bunch of new info on the 19th of March. According to Activision, Blizzard have a “large and innovative pipeline,” which will deliver “multiple launches in 2012.” There’s mention of Blizzard – DOTA, and Titan, Blizzard’s technically unannounced MMO, as well – but there’s no new details.
